Does this sound
familiar...
Production Lab
"Why can't I have the newest sample automatically selected
for me?"

Research
Lab
"Why
can't I keep the same sample highlighted until I'm
finished with it?"

|
Now you
can with Testream/CS
v6.6.2
!
If you work in a
Production Lab and want your IA to always select
the newest sample sent to the lab, simply go
to your Configuration Maintenance Utility program
and edit the Lab Server section. On this
screen you may set the option for 'Auto
Select Newly Entered Sample in IA:' to
TRUE! Now, whenever a new
sample gets sent to the lab, it will automatically be
highlighted!
If you work in a Research Lab,
you may want the sample selection to remain on the
sample you choose until you select another sample
- no problem! Just set this option to FALSE
and the highlighted sample will remain the sample
you chose until
you select another
sample.
These are
just some of the new features available
in the enhanced Interface Application (IA) and
Configuration Maintenance Utility Programs (CMU) being released as Testream/CS
v6.6.2. In addition to the highlighting
option, v6.6.2 enables your IAs in 'spreadsheet' view to
sort samples differently based on the
Sample ID set. For example, your main lab wants to
see samples sorted by their IDs,
but the environmental lab wants to see them by
time. Since each lab has it's own Sample ID Set,
they
simply click on the column they want their
samples sorted by and the IA will
remember the sort order they have
chosen!
When you click on the IA's
'Add Sample' command and the sample ID fields
appear in the pop up window, what values do you
want to see in those fields? ....the values for
the most recently entered sample, or the sample
that is currently highlighted? Now
you
decide!
We've been told that these enhancements
will really make life easier for IA users, and
we're so pleased to be able to deliver them to
you!
If you
are interested in receiving the
enhanced v6.6.2 IA and CMU programs, contact us at
the AcquiData Help Desk at (516) 408-3585 ext.
101.
Thank you again for your
feedback and we hope to always respond
in a timely manner to your
needs!

Did
you know?
In Testream/CS' Project Entry & Management
program the Lab Manager is automatically notified by email
when a project is 'complete'....Cooool!
You can sort your samples in the 'spreadsheet'
view of your IAs. Select a column heading; click once
to sort by that ID in ascending order
or click again to sort in
descending order. Haven't tried using the IA's
'spreadsheet' view yet? Go to the
Configuration Maintenance Utility
program. Select
the IAs section under Lab Server. Select the IA
that you want to view in 'spreadsheet view' and right
click on it to Edit. In the Sample IDs Screen section,
set the mode for 'View samples in
spreadsheet:" to TRUE. The next time you use that
IA, the samples will be set up in spreadsheet
view. Each IA may be viewed differently depending
on your preferences. Don't
forget to execute your changes!

AcquiData, Inc.'s new location
in Garden City, New
York.
|
Check out our new
digs!
Located in Suite 445 of the 400
Building, AcquiData, Inc. recently marked it's one year
anniversary in it's Garden City, New York
location. Garden City is a lovely town nestled in
the middle of Western Long Island. A short
train ride from Manhattan, you can still get all the
benefits of the big city with a little town
feel.
Many of the attendees to our
Testream/CS training classes held in our New York office
have commented about the area. Surrounded by lots
of shopping and great restaurants, the 400 Building is
set in the heart of Garden City.
While attending training classes,
spend your evenings hitting some golf balls at
Eisenhower Park located just East of the office.
Don't like golf, no problem! Our office sits
directly behind one of the largest shopping malls in the
country - Roosevelt Field!
We try
to keep the class sizes small so that each participant can
get the most out of their time in class. We like
to cover as many topics as
possible while customers are in Testream/CS training. If
you are having technical issues back in your office,
our Field Engineers visit while the classes
are running to help answer specialized
questions.
If you are considering
attending a Testream/CS training class, plan on spending
some time enjoying all that Long Island has to
offer. Close to water, shopping and great food - we
know you will find something to fill your time when you
are not learning all
about Testream/CS!
